Cheating-Death (C-D) is an anti-cheat system which includes both a server and client. Unlike HLGuard, which is a server-side only anti-cheat, C-D offers more protection by blocking the cheats themselves before the player joins the server.

While in optional mode, players are checked for a running C-D client and will rename the player if they don't have C-D currently installed and running. For optimal protection against cheaters, servers can be configured to only allow players running the C-D client.

Unfortunately, the C-D anti-cheat system is incompatible with VAC supported MODs. Even with VAC disabled, C-D will fail to function on VAC supported MOD clients. This includes Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat MODs.

UA is also working on a new anti-cheat system, that can be implemented by MOD developers, as an alternative solution to Valve's VAC solution. This project is currently code-named Phoenix and will be available to those that are interested. If you are part of a MOD team and are interested,

只可惜，现在C-D还不能支持CS，服务器端没问题，是客户端和CS不行。
表现为客户端装不装C-D的客户端服务器都检测不出是否装有，所以玩家可要进一个，过了30秒就会自动踢出，今早我试了一早上，本来还说是高兴的事情，谁知道结果常让我失望。：（

CS不行的还能用在什么地方？？AK19是不是在CS里面用的！？？装了不能进CS还不是没有用！

它支持在HL上开发出来的游戏，比如半条命，如果在服务器上装上C-D，那客户机就自动被踢，明白？

各位是不是看到C-D介绍中写着能防AK19所以才下载安装的，但是实际上C-D从1.2.3开始就不支持CS了，诸位不要费心尝试了，100％不行的。另：AK19不只适用于CS。
