What is AutoBan ?

AutoBan is a server side plugin created to ban players cheating on counter-strike source dedicated servers. It uses many heuristic algorithms to rate the behavior of the players during gameplay. When a player is found to be constantlyplaying beyond what is expected from excellent players, he is automatically banned. The same rules are applied to every players, no human subjectivity is involved.

This project has been started to bring back the fun and fair play to public CS:S servers. The algorithms used are not perfect, and feedback is very much appreciated.

* Fixed a server crash triggered when a new player joins the game (often happens on map change)
* Improved the viscode to reduce poping
* Fixed a crash bug that would happen sometimes on player disconnect
* Started the admin in-game menu (More features to come) -> set ab_admin to your "steamid" and bind "ab_admin_menu" in game to use it
* Fixed all players becoming invisible if ab_wallhack_block was set to 0
* It is now possible to send me windows mdmp files to make me diagnose a server crash
* Removed the delay before triggering the aimbot detection, it was too confusing for the admin.
* Fixed a rare false positive for aimbotting when the game rules are modified.
* ab_stats and ab_hitgroup_stats are now admin only commands.

* added the option to ban by ip
* corrected the no flash disabler in some specific situations
* added the possibility to writeid and writeip after a ban (ab_writeban)
* the admins can now cancel a ban when they are online
* There are now private announcements to the admins when someone is flagged by autoban
* Fixed an issue with the aimbot detection
* ab_admin now supports ip addresses as well as STEAMIDs (ie. 192.168.2.12,24.204.4.13 )
